How "Project Special Response" Works

Once Anderson County Emergency Services receives your application, it will be reviewed to make sure the classification of "Special Needs" is met.

If approved, rescue squads in your area will conduct an initial well being check. At this time, rescue squads may conduct a 911 addressing test from your home to ensure your information is entered into the Anderson County 911 system.

Please understand that the rescue squads are there to assist you and provide you with information regarding emergency prepraedness. They will be asking you questions pertaining to your medications, health equipment and the overall safety of your surroundings.

At the rescue squads discretion, they will conduct well being checks for special needs citizens throughout the year. These visits are to make sure you are ok and to document if your health condiitions have changed. This information will be collected and relayed back to 911 so we may keep your file updated.
